The Thraint breed came from two very powerful. popular breeds. The American Thoroughbred and The American paint horse. We wanted a horse that would strive in barrell racing, and these two breeds possess the perfect qualities that created the amazing Thraint.

The Thraint originates from a ranch in Asheboro, North Carolina.
What is some history of the Thoroughbred?
The Thoroughbreds originated from Britain, their ancestry traces back to the Darley Arabian, the Godolphin Arabian, and the Byerly Turk. They are known as the royalty of racehorses. For now atleast.
What is some history of the Paint?
The American Paint Horse originated from North America and was introduced by spanish conquistadors, it is significant that American Paint Horses share a common ancestry with the American Quarter Horse and the American Thoroughbred.
